Andy Marr, President
Andy’s passion is serving others. He is constantly looking for the best way to provide solutions. Andy is a natural leader and business man, learning basic business qualities from his father in his early years on the family farm.
After graduating in 1990 from Mount Allison University, Andy excelled in the business world. Starting as an Account Manager at Hawk Communications, he than became the Atlantic Regional Sales Representative for Bowne of Montreal. Throughout his journey at Hawk and Bowne he learned irreplaceable corporate knowledge in how to provide outstanding client service and build great teams. Andy not only excels today in the corporate realm, but he enjoys spending time with his family, traveling and being active in his community.
Craig Wilmot, CA, Tax Consultant
Craig has a unique personality. He can talk to just about anyone about anything. Craig has an intimate knowledge of finance and Canadian tax laws. He thrives in being with people and building relationships, as well as being a unique financial specialist.
Craig graduated from Mount Allison University in 1985 with a Bachelors of Commerce. He went on to work as a Public Accountant where he became a specialist in tax and corporate information systems and applications. Craig moved on as the Vice President of Finance at Hawk Communications, implementing company-wide information systems. For four years Craig was the Controller at Gordon’s Greenhouses where he transitioned the company from GST/PST into HST. He also worked as an Account Manager at Oxford Frozen Foods Limited. This is the third year that Craig has been an irreplaceable part of the Son Team; he continues to excel in current tax and finance issues.
Maurice Carriere, CGA, Tax Consultant
Maurice has years of governmental experience and has been an asset to the team. He is bilingual, well-connected and provides indispensable knowledge and advice. He has an in depth knowledge of finance and Canadian taxation laws.
Maurice is a CGA and worked as a Public Accountant before moving to Revenue Canada Customs and Excise for 13 years. Promoted to District Manager and nominated as the Ottawa Regional Coordinator for the implementation of the Goods and Services Tax, he was also appointed Ottawa District Director and remained in the position until his retirement from Revenue Canada Customs and Excise in 1995. He has worked recovering commodity taxes for hundreds of companies and public service bodies across Canada and the United States.
Lois Wood, Executive Assistant
Lois excels in executions. Meaning, she is able to take a project and run with it. One of her strengths is working with and compiling information systems. Lois is detail oriented and focuses on what needs to be done.
Lois worked for many years as an Executive assistant at Atlantic Wholesalers and at Loblaws Properties Construction Division as the Fixturing Manager. She moved to be the Account Assistant at SGCI, and in 2005 joined the Son team where she’s been an indispensable part of the team. Lois is involved in her community and spends time with her husband, their children and grandchildren.
